HEAVENLY EGGNOG CHEESECAKE
From Jean Pare’s Company’s Coming Christmas Celebrations
Crust:
1/2 cup butter
1 3/4 cups graham cracker crumbs
1 tsp. grated orange zest

Christmas Cocktails

Candy Cane Martini
·                       1 1/2 ounces vanilla vodka
·                       1/2 ounce peppermint schnapps
·                       1 ounce club soda
·                       crushed candy canes for garnish
Rim a martini glass with crushed candy canes. Mix vodka, schnapps, and club soda with ice in a cocktail shaker; strain into prepared glass.

Christmas Cookies to Make with the Kids

Gingerbread Cookies
Ingredients
2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup molasses
1 egg
1-1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon grated or ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
Makes about 2 dozen
